Customer had car charger on 48 amp draw had to bring it down to 32 amps due to wire size being 8/3 and breaker having to be downsized to a 40 amp. Ran charger for a while with proper amp draw while on site and ran fine customer to run it for a couple of hours to make sure it’s fine.
-Arrived on site and spoke with the customer, who requested the installation of a car charger in his third-car garage. I noticed there is an existing 240V outlet circuit for a steamer located in the attic above the master bathroom. Since the customer no longer plans to use the steamer, we will tap power from that 240V circuit to supply the car charger in the garage. The customer also requested the replacement of several retrofit can lights located approximately 16 feet high near a chandelier, as well as converting a few standard switches to smart switches. In the master bathroom, he would like a few outlets and switches extended to accommodate ongoing remodeling work. We are scheduled to return on Monday, November 3rd, during the morning window with myself and my supervisor. The customer was very happy and satisfied with today’s visit.
